This Fast Catch Triblader was made in 1989 out of 4 mm Baltic Birch plywood and painted on the upper surface. There is a large hole in the hub and small holes on the tips of all 3 blades. Volker made this boomerang for his own use in competition. In 1992, Volker visited me at my home and we used his throw kit for much of our recreational throwing. This Fast Catch was well suited to my throwing style, so Volker gave it to me and I added it to add to my personal throw kit. I can do a round of 20 seconds with this triblader and I am an older person with vision in only one eye and throwing a right handed boomerang with my left hand. What can you do without these issues? Anyway, this boomerang is in marvelous condition. It is tuned for my personal throwing style and I added a coin with tape to one tip to make it wobble in rotation. This made it easier for me to see and catch it on each return. This was one of my favorite Fast Catch tribladers.

Specifications: Right Handed ; Radius = 15 cm ; Weight = 38 gm

Volker Behrens was a well known commercial manufacturer of sport and competition boomerang products. Volker was also a competitor and a member of the German International Boomerang Team. Volker was a pioneer in the development of long distance boomerangs and he demonstrated throws of 150 metres in the 1980s with his popular Challenger III Paxolin Hook. Volker made the last of his boomerangs in 2011. He died in June, 2012. His boomerangs have become great collectibles because they are considered to be comparable to boomerangs made by Herb Smith.
