For almost a decade, I marketed plastic boomerangs designed by Barnaby Ruhe and manufactured by brothers Bill and Charles Springer. These were great flyers and they were made out of different materials. The most common material was Polypropylene foam which gave the boomerang the same density as it would have if it were made out of Birch plywood. Unknown to most, this boomerang came out of the mold warped and unable to fly, so they had to be heated and bent into a proper tune. I found that there were subtle differences with each one, so I had to throw about 30 of them to find a perfect match for competition grade Jugglers. A matched set had the same flight range and height. This pair is a matched set made out of red Polypropylene material. I used this set in competition for almost 10 years. Juggling takes as much athletic effort as playing tennis. The good news is that these can be thrown as individuals and they are incredible sport boomerangs with a low and circular flight, sort of like a slow Fast Catch. They also float is you want to use them near water. This set has light wear and a few scuff marks near the tips from use, but no damage.

Specifications (each): Right Handed ; Tip-to-tip Span = 34 cm ; Weight = 62 gm

Barnaby Ruhe is one of America's most famous boomerang throwers. Barnaby is a graduate of the Naval Academy (Oliver North's classmate) and he is naturally gifted in competition strategy. Barnaby was involved in the early days of American competition development. He is the nephew of Ben Ruhe and his cousins are Peter and Larry Ruhf. He competed on the 2006 American Team in Japan, a full 25 years after his first international competition as a member of the American Team at the 1981 USA-Australia Challenge Match. Barnaby designed and made some of my favorite competition boomerangs, especially his jugglers and the famous Boomerang Fever.
