This competition hook was made out of 5 mm Baltic Birch plywood. There is a lead weight embedded in each blade tip. Signed and dated 1988 with the note that this one was at Max Hoeben's tournament. There are many signatures on the upper surface and most appear to be by German throwers. This boomerang was part of Max Hoeben's personal collection and it has his paper tape collection tag ( #412 ) on the dingle arm tip. I tested this boomerang several times prior to listing it and it is a very nice flyer with a flight range of 60+ metres. It takes a hard low throw and is for advanced throwers only. It is in excellent condition. A strong and sturdy hook that is a wonderful collectible.
