Bunny Read was one of Australia's best boomerang throwers and craftsmen for many years. He is the father of Leanne Read and the grandfather of the famous Baby Ben Loveland who won an accuracy tournament when he was only 2 years old. Bunny made an assortment of really nice hooks and traditional models out of Coachwood plywood. He would paint beautiful Australian art scenes on the elbow in less than 60 seconds using a unique brush and finger painting technique. Some of the traditional boomerangs that Bunny made were very large and there is a very famous video of Bunny throwing and catching an 8 foot boomerang on the television show "You Asked For it". Bunny's daughter, Leanne, is still producing quality boomerang products for the Boomerang Man.

This Bunny Read traditional boomerang is a commercial product that was made in the early 1980s out of beautiful Coachwood plywood. The artwork on the elbow consists of a kangaroo and an emu in an outback bush scene. The reverse side has the Wycheproof stamp lightly applied to the elbow. This boomerang was made specially for Brain Thomas to take to Japan on a promotional tour in 1983. There is an Australian flag on the dingle arm and a Japanese flag on the lift arm. The original packaging is included, but the boomerang is not sealed in the plastic.
