Bob Burwell is one of Australia's best known throwers and competitors. Bob is the son of Ces Burwell, who was a well known boom maker and thrower in the 1940s - 1970s. Find out more about the Burwell family on Bob's web site: Historical Photographs of the Burwell Family.

This very large traditional boomerang was made in 1973. It was made with very long blades to give it higher inertia and better wind resitance, thus the name "Windcheater". This boomerang has the Burwell boomerang logo on the underside with the name "BOB" above the logo. There is a thick coating of high gloss varnish or polyurethane and white/gold & black bands painted on both blades. The flight range is 30 -40 metres. This boomerang is in very good condition except for wear along the blade lengths from frequent use. This is a very rare and collectable Burwell boomerang..
