This box of dime store boomerangs from the 1950s has approximately 72 small plastic boomerangs. There are approximately 36 boomerangs of each of two different designs and there are two colors of each design (see photo). The four bladed cross stick with a reinforcement ring is called the "Circle X Stick". This cross stick is a terrific flyer with a range of about 10 metres. It does require a proper throw with moderate power and lots of spin for a good return, but it does not need any tuning. The two bladed design is called the "Flaired V". Some tuning (bend arms flat and add positive angle of attack) is required to get the "Flaired V" to work properly. The "Flaired V" requires less power to throw than the "Circle X Stick". The display box is in fair condition because of storage, but the boomerangs are all in terrific new condition. These are good collectable boomerangs. Span = 19 cm ; weight = 7 gm for each individual boomerang |
