This strip laminated sport boomerang was made out of Ash in 1998. It is in new condition and with the original throwing instruction sheet attached. This model has a flight range of 25-40 metres. You can adjust the flight range by twisting the blades to add or remove angle of attack. It is easy to throw and catch with a low circular flight.
Doug DuFresne was one of America's best known boomerang manufacturers in the 1980s and 1990s. Doug manufactured a line of high quality Birch plywood and strip laminated boomerangs that were consistently wonderful flyers. Most strip laminated boomerangs were made out of Cherry and/or Ash. The manufacturing tolerances were as tight as you would see on an automotive product. Doug stopped producing boomerangs in the late 1990s and the price of his boomerangs increased dramatically. Doug was one of America's top throwers and a member of the American boomerang team during the formation of the United States Boomerang Association. Doug was also active in the formulation of the USBA competition rule book in the mid 1980s. |
