This beautiful art boomerang is titled "Platypus". It was made out of Birch plywood in the shape of the Australian Aquatic Monotreme called the Platypus. Nicely painted on one side. The other side is unpainted, but it is signed and dated 1998. Nice art and a wonderful collectible. This is one of Pat Cardiff's best works of art and it is an early boomerang in mint condition.
Pat Cardiff is a well known American boomerang craftsman and artist who lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Pat doesn't make art boomerangs any more. His current focus is on canvas paintings. Pat specialized in making special theme boomerangs, especially animal art and human caricatures and portraits. Pat's boomerangs have been exhibited in galleries, universities and libraries around the USA. These boomerangs not only look terrific, but they fly well too. Cardiff Art Boomerangs are found in almost every major boomerang collection. |
