This beautiful natural elbow throwstick or hunting boomerang was made out of a Mulga wood blank acquired from Jack Byham. The natural elbow blank is bicolored with the dark hardwood on one side and a highly figured blonde wood on the other side. Mike considered this to be one of his finest boomerangs and he regarded it as a wonderful flyer. He was afraid of damaging it, so he did not throw it very often and only in soft grass. It is well made and magnificent. A beautiful collectible.
Mike Fullwood was a British boomerang thrower who lived in Australia for many years. He was well known among the members of the Boomerang Association of Australia and he participated in tournaments. Mike also acquired beautiful natural elbows from Jack Byham and carved them into quality boomerangs and throwsticks. Mike returned to England and recently passed away. |
