Dennis Maxwell was a member of the Aussie team that beat the Americans at the Second USA-Australia Challenge Match in 1984. Peter Maxwell is Dennis' nephew and Peter was the youngest thrower on the 1984 Aussie Team. Dennis is a professional engineer, a past president of the Boomerang Association of Australia and one of Australia'a best throwers in the 1980s. Dennis made very few boomerangs for sale or trade.

This rare traditional boomerang was made out of Coachwood plywood in a shape that is similar to the Hawes M-17. Undecorated, except for a paper cutout kangaroo that was glued to the elbow. Unfinished, so don't let this one get wet until you give it a coat of oil. There is a stamp on the underside of the elbow that says "Peter and Dennis Maxwell, Dingley Australia, Boomchuckawayah" The range is a little less than 20 metres, but it is a very good flyer with great hover.

Specifications: Right Handed ; Tip-to-tip Span = 43 cm ; Weight = 80 gm
