The Sensor MTA is the third generation of composite MTAs made by Georgi. It was constructed in 2001 and the design closely resembles the Wind Sailor MTA designs made by Ted Bailey out of 3 mm Birch plywood in the mid 1980s and the composite design made by Jonas Romblad in the mid to late 1980s. It is slightly heavier than the second compositie design, but it has a larger surface area, so the density is similar. It has a cambered lift arm and turbulator tape segments top and bottom to destroy parasitic vortices that form on the trailing edges of airfoils with similar Reynolds Numbers. This is prototype #4 of the third generation and it was custom made for me in 1991. I test threw this MTA about a dozen times in calm weather and achieved several stable flights of 30+ seconds. I think it will fly much longer in ideal conditions. Georgi made 6 or 7 different composite MTA models and this one is an early generation 3 model. A great collectible in like-new condition.
