Photos of Brother Brian Mark Thomas' Burial

The poem and photos on this web page were supplied by Brian's good friend. Bob Burwell

Friends for twenty five years and till the end of time

I've never met another man whose passion was so great.

His love of helping others, could just be called first rate.

His passion spread to boomerangs, now that we all do know.

He'd grab another student and teach them how to throw.

His exploits are recorded, from tournaments he did go,

And like we other brothers, he'd throw & throw & throw.

But now his arms are by his side

He lay here now at rest

We love you Br. Thomas,

Forever you're the best

Park I stumbled on near Brians college where I first met Bunny Read 27 years ago. I could feel Bunny looking to me when I stumbled onto this field after 27 years.

Brian's Final resting place

I was surprised to see a standard coach wood boomerang going with Brian. It was made by me [Bob Burwell] in the early 1970's

Memorial gift from Rob to Christian Brothers (shown with Br. Rod Shoebridge). All boomerang throwers present signed the flip side.

Tony Butz did an excellent eulogy. I failed to photograph the boomerang in the church. The eulogy is worth getting if possible. Tony was not present after the service. Much was said about Br. Brian that was new to me.
