This item is a sling used to throw a projectile such as a stone. Hearders throughout the world used this device to protect their flocks. This sling was made out of plant fibres and wool in Palestine pre-1990. The pouch is large enough to cradle a stone the size of a golf ball. The pouch is in used but very nice condition. The cords have some wear and fraying from use, but they are fully intact. My guess is that the cords are replaced often with use. I have stored this sling in a climate controlled container for the past 30+ years. These are no longer used very much, but I occasionally see film of Palestinian youth using these against Israeli police. This is the only one I have seen and it is a very nice collectible.

Length = 123 cm ; Weight = 14 gm
