This lap joint is one of the most beautiful and nicely constructed lap joint boomerang I have ever held in my hands. The boom maker isn't well known in the competition circle and he made only a very limited number of boomerangs for the best collections. This boomerang has four layers, a thick central core with a thin layer of metal between the central core and the bottom layer which is a beautiful Bird's Eye Maple. The top layer is Walnut. Excellent airfoils and a very smooth finish. This boomerang was made especially for Ben Ruhe in the 1980s. This is stated on the bottom face surface at the elbow with the boom maker's signature. Ben Ruhe added the number 6 at the top as an identification mark for his personal collection. This boomerang is in pristine condition.

Specifications: Right Handed ; Tip-to-tip Span = 42 cm ; Weight = 124 gm

Richard J. Dawson is a master craftsman who made a very small number of very fine boomerangs in his shop in Bedford, Massachusetts. His boomerangs are found only in the best collections.
