This strip laminated omega was made out of Ash strips in 1998. The middle strips are dyed orange with a brown edge. This boomerang is in near mint condition. It has a shallow chip in the outer ply of the lift arm trailing edge. This can easily be sanded out, but I will let you do that. I threw it only a few times in soft grass and found that it is a very nice flyer with a flight range of 35+ metres. This was one of Doug's most popular production models. A really great collectible.

Specifications: Right Handed ; Tip-to-tip Span = 34 cm ; Weight = 68 gm

Doug DuFresne was one of America's best known boomerang manufacturers in the 1980s and 1990s. Doug manufactured a line of high quality Birch plywood and strip laminated boomerangs that were consistently wonderful flyers. Most strip laminated boomerangs were made out of Cherry and/or Ash. The manufacturing tolerances were as tight as you would see on an automotive product. Doug stopped producing boomerangs in the late 1990s and the price of his boomerangs increased dramatically. Doug was one of America's top throwers and a member of the American boomerang team during the formation of the United States Boomerang Association. Doug was also active in the formulation of the USBA competition rule book in the mid 1980s.
