This left handed strip laminated omega boomerang is a prototype design that was made out of Ash in 2000. It was not put into production because Doug ceased his production line down shortly after this prototype was introduced to retailers. The Outback Boomerangs logo is on the underside of the elbow. There is a " left handed " sticker at the tip of the dingle arm. This boomerang is in mint condition. I threw it only a few times in soft grass and found that it is a very nice flyer with a flight range of 40+ metres. Very Nice design and a very rare model by this famous USA manufacturer.

Specifications: Left Handed ; Tip-to-tip Span = 32 cm ; Weight = 64 gm

Doug DuFresne was one of America's best known boomerang manufacturers in the 1980s and 1990s. Doug manufactured a line of high quality Birch plywood and strip laminated boomerangs that were consistently wonderful flyers. Most strip laminated boomerangs were made out of Cherry and/or Ash. The manufacturing tolerances were as tight as you would see on an automotive product. Doug stopped producing boomerangs in the late 1990s and the price of his boomerangs increased dramatically. Doug was one of America's top throwers and a member of the American boomerang team during the formation of the United States Boomerang Association. Doug was also active in the formulation of the USBA competition rule book in the mid 1980s.
