This unusual V-Omega boomerang is a high performance Fast Catch boomerang that I acquired from Rob in 1989. It is made out of 4.1 mm Birch plywood and decorated with bright colors on the upper surface. The tips flare out so that the cord is nearly parallel with a line running through the center of rotation. There is no camber, but both tips have a lot of beveling on the underside of the leading edges. This is one of my favorite Fast Catch boomerangs. I am left handed and throwing right handed boomerangs. I can easily doa round of 5 throws and catches with this boomerang in the low 20 seconds.

There is a story that goes with this boomerang. In 1989, Roger Perry and Rob Croll visited with me prior to the International Team Cup. We took a trip up to the the town on Wiarton on the Bruce Peninsula between Lake Huron and the Georgian Bay. We checked into a motel and went down to the shoreline of Georgian Bay to throw boomerangs. The room that we had rented had two double bds and we were 3 guys. None of us wanted to share a bed with another guy, so we had a Fast Catch competiton with the winner getting a double bed as to himself. I didn't have any Fast Catch boomerangs with me, so Rob gave me this one and it matched my throwing style perfectly. I was able to bear Roger's time, but Rob had the lowest time and he won the double bed as to himself. I continued to use this boomerang for the remainder of the season, but I retired it to preserve its design for future reference.
