Michael Girvin (aka Gel) has been making and throwing boomerangs since the 1970s. In the 1980s, Gel founded a subculture within the boomerang community called Team Gel. Gel sponsored tournaments in California and Washington state. He promoted boomerang throwing more than perhaps any other thrower in America through his efforts. His tournaments were a lot more fun than the sterile USBA rated comps. Gel also competed internationally on many USA boomerang teams. Team Gel still thrives and events are held on the West Coast on a regular basis.

This large sport omega boomerang was made in the 1990s out of Aircraft grade Birch plywood. Nicely crafted and beautifully painted, this omega is a superb sport boomerang with a flight range of 40 metres. It likes a little wind and takes more power than many other sport booms because it is a larger boomerang. Excellent condition with only a few light scratches on the underside.

Specifications: Right Handed ; Tip-to-tip Span = 38 cm ; Weight = 86 gm
