Prehistoric Bola Stone from Uruguay
This is an ancient lithic artifact that was found in an Aboriginal
cemetery " tumulus " in Barriga Negra, Uruguay. It was used as a
hunting device by South American aborigines and dates prior to the
18th Century. It was tied with a leather leash and then thrown to
catch animals.
