This painting was purchased in Shanghai, China in the 1980s. It is not vintage art, but it is a large, high quality painting designed to hang on a wall by an attached cord. A chinese friend told me that the theme of the painting is a man who is a personal protector, sort of like a bodyguard, but more spiritual in nature. The painting is in excellent condition. The box is rough at one end, but this does not affect the painting at all. There is an insert in the box that says, in English, "Shanghai Arts & Crafts Store". Length = 179 cm ; Width = 59 cm ; Weight = 766 gm
