This vintage walking stick is an African Elder's cane. I am unable to identify the culture. The entire length is decorated with incised geometric art - lines, grids and figures. A very fine patina throughout the entire surface and in excellent condition. If I needed a cane to asist in walking, this is exactly what I would use. Well proportioned and straight. Originally purchased from the Fagan Arms catalog. Length = 129 cm ; Diameter = 17 mm ; Weight = 238 gm

This artifact is from the estate of Dain Torguson. The family will use the proceeds from the sale of this artifact to display a sculpture crafted by Dain in a public library in Rapid City, North Dakota.
